Alfama is the oldest neighborhood in Lisbon, stretching along the slope between São Jorge Castle and the Tagus River. Its name comes from the Arabic Al-hamma, meaning fountains or baths. The neighborhood includes the parishes of São Miguel, Santo Estêvão, São Vicente de Fora, and part of two streets in the Sé parish: Rua do Barão and Rua São João da Praça. The area is home to several important historical sites, as well as many Fado bars and restaurants. The great 1755 Lisbon Earthquake did not destroy Alfama, which has remained a picturesque labyrinth of narrow streets and small squares. In recent years, the neighborhood has been revitalized with the renovation of old houses and the opening of new restaurants, where visitors can enjoy Fado, the traditional Portuguese music with a melancholic tone.

About
Designer's top-floor property with AC and amazing river views and Alfama rooftops. Spacious living area with open space kitchen with a long walk-in balcony looking to the river Tejo and a quiet bedroom at the back. A unique nest to rest after a day of visits and enjoy the sunset. The Balcony is the perfect spot to relax with a glass of wine and enjoy the view. Although there is a lift in the building, it is not working at the moment.
Space
Located in one of Lisbon’s most authentic and lively neighborhoods, known for its narrow streets and endless stairs, the property still benefits from unusually easy access to Alfama. It sits in a prime spot by the river, near the recently renovated Santa Apolónia dock area, ideal for dinner or late-night drinks. The property is on the 5th floor. Paid street parking is available nearby, close to the National Pantheon, just a short walk away.
