It offers a distinctly different experience depending on the time of day. Daytime Charm: During the day, Bairro Alto is relatively quiet, a residential area perfect for soaking up the atmosphere. You’ll find quirky alternative shops, record stores, historic haberdasheries, and traditional restaurants tucked away in its colorful streets. The architecture features the classic, faded-pastel apartment buildings adorned with iron balconies. A Sunset Must-See: Head to the edge of the neighborhood to the Miradouro de São Pedro de Alcântara (Viewpoint) for spectacular, panoramic views across the city, the Baixa district, and São Jorge Castle. The Nightlife Epicenter: As the sun sets, Bairro Alto transforms into the city's premier nightlife spot. The small bars open their doors, and crowds spill into the cobbled streets, creating a giant, lively outdoor party. Grab a drink from one of the tiny establishments and join the festive atmosphere that lasts well into the early morning. A Taste of Tradition: Bairro Alto is also one of the best places to experience Fado, Portugal's soulful, traditional music. Look for the many small, traditional Fado Houses (Casas de Fado) where you can enjoy dinner while listening to live performances. Getting There: The easiest way to reach the top of the hill is by taking one of the historic funiculars, like the Elevador da Glória (from Praça dos Restauradores) or the Elevador da Bica (known for its picturesque street).

A nice, bright, and tastefully decorated traditional 111 m2 apartment, on a 2nd floor without a lift, in the heart of Bairro Alto, within short walking distance from main Lisbon attractions. With design and antique furniture, 18th-century "azulejos", and cherrywood floors. The kitchen is fully equipped. The apartment is located in Bairro Alto, the nightlife district of Lisbon.

BAIRRO ALTO Spacious & Stylish is a 111 m2 apartment that accommodates 4 guests in the heart of Lisbon’s vibrant Bairro Alto district. Situated on the entire second floor of a fully renovated typical Lisbon building (no elevator), this stylish apartment offers: A spacious 27 m2 master bedroom with two 90 cm single beds and an en-suite bathroom (9 m2) featuring two sinks and a bathtub. A cozy 16 m2 bedroom with one 140 cm double bed and an additional 90 cm bed, also with an en-suite shower. A bright and airy 38 m2 living room with a separate dining area. A well-equipped 15 m2 kitchen including a Smeg cooker, Bosch oven, Bosch microwave, Bosch dishwasher, large fridge & freezer, Bosch washing machine, toaster, Nespresso coffee machine, and filter coffee machine. Two private balconies overlooking the street, and one private balcony at the back of the building. Additional amenities include free satellite TV and Wi-Fi. Towels and bed linens are provided at no extra cost. Baby crib and high chair are available upon request with an additional charge, and should be arranged in advance.

Pharmacist The nearest pharmacist (Farmácia Camões) is located at Praça Luis de Camões, No. 22. Walking distance: 4 min. Parking Public car park located Praça Luis de Camôes. Open 24/24. Walking distance: 3 min. Water (hot) Hot water is produced by a gas heater located in the kitchen – right to the sink. It takes a while (30 sec.) to get hot water in the bathtub in the en-suite bathroom of the master bedroom. Washing machine A washing machine BOSCH is provided in the kitchen, in the cupboard left to the sink. See user manual provided. Laundry can be dried on the ropes outside the bedroom – accessible from the balcony. Waste Please bring your waste to the nearest outside bins. No waste should be stored in the apartment or building. Please note that the apartment is located in Bairro Alto, a neighborhood known for its strong nightlife. If you're looking for a quiet place, this is not a suitable apartment for you. Given the central location of the apartment, it is totally unnecessary to have a car. However, if you do decide to bring your car, you should know that our neighborhood has controlled traffic access (only residents and taxis can enter), which makes the atmosphere calm and pedestrian-friendly, but it means that guests will have to park their cars in a public parking garage. Fortunately, there is one only 2 min walk away, the direction behind the apartment.
