Life moves slowly here: small cafés serve fresh pastries, family-run restaurants plate traditional Portuguese dishes, and fado drifts from the taverns in the evening. Travessa do Almargem itself is a quiet residential corner, but you're minutes from the landmarks. Lisbon's Sé Cathedral is a short walk away, along with several viewpoints for sweeping city views. Despite the historic setting, the area is well served by public transport and close to the waterfront — an ideal base for experiencing the real Lisbon while staying somewhere calm and picturesque.

Set in the heart of Alfama, just a short walk from Lisbon’s Sé Cathedral, it’s perfectly positioned to explore the neighborhood’s traditional cafés, scenic viewpoints, and historic streets, a great choice for families and friends. A newly finished, modern two‑bedroom apartment featuring two comfortable queen bedrooms, thoughtfully decorated by a professional designer. One bedroom features an open shower integrated into the room, adding a distinctive contemporary touch.
Space
A bright, open-plan living space welcomes you on entry, with the kitchen and living area combined to make the most of the third-floor layout. Sloped ceilings, a skylight, and a large window keep the room full of natural light all day. The living area has a comfortable sofa, a 43-inch smart TV, and a dining space. The kitchen is fully equipped with an oven, dishwasher, and coffee machine — everything you need to cook and settle in. There's also a washer/dryer in the apartment. Two bedrooms, each with a queen bed and a quality mattress, both with windows and plenty of natural light. Please note: one bedroom has an open shower integrated into the room itself, alongside a private half-bath — a distinctive design feature some guests love, but worth knowing before you book. A second bathroom off the corridor has a separate toilet and washbasin on one side and a shower room directly opposite. Comfortably sleeps 4 in two queen beds. Fast fibre-optic wifi makes it easy to work or stream, and air conditioning keeps the apartment comfortable year-round with both heating and cooling. The third floor is reached by elevator.

Although cars cannot stop directly at the door, the drop-off point is only around 30 metres away on foot. As the area has restricted vehicle access, Uber drivers cannot enter the neighbourhood, so taking a taxi is usually the best option.
